The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna openly expressed his hatred for Ukrainians on social media.
On August 19, the USA announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine in the amount of $775 million, which was immediately responded to in Russia. In particular, the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said that it is not necessary to feel sorry for Ukrainians, alluding to the rocket attacks of the occupiers on residential buildings and other objects of civil infrastructure.
“No mercy for the Ukrainian population!” Ulyanov wrote on Twitter, responding to Volodymyr Zelensky's post, which thanked Joe Biden for his help in confronting the enemy.
Almost immediately after publication, Ulyanov deleted the provocative post, and after some time wrote a lame excuse .
“I must apologize. I forgot who I was dealing with. Of course, I was referring to the USA with its supply of weapons and the President of Ukraine, who just yesterday declared that he rejects any peace negotiations. Indeed, there is no mercy on their part for the Ukrainian population. This is what I said,” wrote Ulyanov shortly after.
The Russian diplomat also noted that he was allegedly “misunderstood” and accused Twitter users of “dirty interpretations”.
