According to analysts, the Altai Territory announced the formation of five volunteer units: the “Kalashnikov” and “Altai” battalions, the “Katun” company, and the “Biya” platoon. Local media reports that the advertised monthly salary ranges from 30,000 to 300,000 rubles (approximately $500 to $5,000).

A local publication of the Republic of Tatarstan stated that the Russian authorities' classification of volunteer formations as “battalions” exaggerated the actual number of conscripts in each volunteer unit. In particular, the publication notes that the “Parma” battalion of the Perm Territory has 90 people and is structurally more in line with a motorized rifle company.
