Most Germans consider relations with Russia to be permanently damaged

Only 24 percent of respondents believe that after the war, relations between Russia and Germany may return to normal.

Most Germans believe that relations between Germany and Russia forever ruined by Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine . This is evidenced by a poll conducted by the Forsa Institute of Public Opinion commissioned by International Politik, reports Spiegel.

In particular, more than two thirds of respondents (71 percent) believe it is impossible to return relations between Moscow and Berlin During the presidency of Vladimir Putin.

Slightly less than a quarter (24 percent) believe that after the war, relations between Russia and Germany may return to the state they were in before the Russian invasion of Ukraine .

According to the poll, 81 percent of respondents in East Germany believe that German-Russian relations will remain permanently damaged even after the war. In the west of the country, 69 percent of respondents think so.
