The Russian way of waging war relies on massive artillery barrages, but the Ukrainians' precise strikes in the rear of the Russian army threw the Russian army off balance
Given to Ukraine by the US and other allies, artillery systems and MSMS have become an important factor on the battlefield and are gradually changing the course of the war. To what end, Ukrainians have demonstrated the ability to use them correctly. This is reported by CNN.
It is noted that for months the Ukrainian military has been begging Western partners for high-precision artillery and long-range missile systems. Now they have them and are deploying them with considerable effect both in the south and in the east of the country.
Heavy weapons provided by the Allies – HIMARS MLRS, M777 towed howitzers and Caesar self-propelled guns – became a new and very important factor in the war. More than that, the partners saw the “ability of the Ukrainians” to use the newly delivered Western systems to strike Russian command posts, logistics centers and ammunition depots far behind the front lines.

The use of these systems forces the Russians to disperse their ammunition and creates a number of logistical and organizational problems for them. “Least favorite job in the Russian army? Ammunition unloader,” CNN quoted the tweet of the former commander of the US Army in Europe, Ben Hodges.

On Friday, the Pentagon announced the delivery of 1,000 rounds of 155 mm artillery to Ukraine, but according to the official, these are new ammunition with greater accuracy. A Pentagon official said HIMARS is already changing the battlefield.
“If the Russians think they can outlast the Ukrainians, they need to rethink,” the official added.

The Russian way of waging war relies on massive artillery barrages to hit targets before moving forward. Russian military doctrine has always emphasized the massive use of artillery, MLRS and mortars. Therefore, the Russians are now thrown off balance by the increasing capabilities of the Armed Forces for high-precision long-range attacks. And US officials are sure that the accuracy of the weapon, like other precise long-range systems, will gradually change the battlefield.
We remind you that the Ukrainian military is actively destroying the ammunition depots of the Russian occupiers with the help of American HIMARS artillery systems >and inflicted serious losses in manpower on the enemy. After that, judging by NASA Firms satellite images, the occupiers reduced the number of artillery fire on Ukraine.
