Military exercises Siil 2022 have started in Estonia, 15,000 servicemen from 10 countries will take part

Strike helicopters, fighters, landing ships will be involved.

Estonian Defense Forces have started large-scale exercises Siil 2022 (“Hedgehog-2022”), which will involve more than 15,000 servicemen from 10 countries, according to ERR.ee.

Regional cooperation will be a hallmark of these exercises, the maneuvers will involve missile systems USA, Britain and Poland. Territorially, they cover the area from the Danish island of Bornholm to northern Latvia via Saaremaa.

and closer to the end of the exercise, landing ships of the American Expeditionary Corps will arrive in Estonia.

It will be recalled that Estonia intends to help Ukraine eliminate the consequences of the Russian war in the Zhytomyr region.

We also recently reported that the governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia voiced the continued presence of NATO divisions in the Baltic region in the wake of Russia's war against Ukraine.
