In early March, Microsoft announced the suspension of services and product sales in Russia.
Microsoft has disconnected Mail.ru mail from its servers and deprived users of the ability to view attachments from emails. This was reported by the Russian newspaper “Vedomosti” with reference to an employee of the company that took part in the restoration of the service.
Complaints began to appear on March 17, and now they can be found on the service “Answers”, which is part of VK.
A Vedomosti source explained the situation as follows: “This happened after Microsoft cut off access to its servers to Mail.ru, which made it impossible for users to view attachments from emails.”
Recall that in early March, Microsoft announced the suspension of services and sales of products in Russia.
A little later, the owner of Mail.ru, Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki announced that he was in danger of default due to the inability to pay off the holders of his securities. Their trading on the stock exchange was stopped in early March 2022 due to sanctions, and he currently does not have the amount to cover all obligations.
Internet giant Yandex and online store Ozon are in a similar situation.
