Men will be allowed to travel abroad on bail: it is known to whom and for what time the permit will be issued

Only certain categories of conscripts will be allowed to leave temporarily.

The departure of conscripted men abroad during martial law in Ukraine was repeatedly discussed not only in society but also in power circles. Apparently, the government has reached a certain consensus on this issue, since from September 1, Ukrainians will be allowed to leave the country's borders, but on the condition that they pay a deposit of 200,000 hryvnias. A member of the Committee on Digital Transformation Serhiy Shtepa said thistold on the air of a nationwide telethon.

According to the official, men will be able to go abroad for seven days, provided they receive a written permission from the employer and provide the required amount of the deposit. For the time being, the isTrip program will work in test mode.

“For now, this feature will work in test mode. As the Cabinet of Ministers noted, we want to test the service and see if it will really be in demand,” Stepa said.

He clarified that not all conscripts will be able to go abroad on bail. The category of those who can obtain such a permit includes entrepreneurs and legal entities of private ownership. To submit an application, you must meet the following criteria:

  • submit tax returns on time;
  • not be in arrears for the payment of EUV;
  • pay the average salary for a legal entity or private enterprise of at least 20 thousand hryvnias.

In addition to the mandatory deposit, those wishing to temporarily leave Ukraine will need to provide documents from their employer.

“It is the employer who will bear full responsibility, because some companies have already practiced providing the opportunity to travel abroad to men in an illegal way. In order to avoid this, it is the employer who will bear the responsibility and confirm it in a documentary way,” the official concluded.
