Macron allowed the start of war in Europe by making a disappointing prediction about the readiness of his army

Previously, the possibility of high-intensity conflicts there was considered unlikely, so today the armed forces were unprepared for a real threat.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that the military command of the country does not rule out the possibility that war may break out on the territory of Europe, warning that the French army is not ready for this. RFI quoted the president's words.

According to Macron, the authorities have already been informed about the problems that will arise if the conflict starts. According to him, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the country, Thierry Burkar, considers the threat of a major war today to be the highest since the Second World War.

Threats are increasing, and the transition to hostilities, as in Ukraine, is a realityeven for Europe, – said Thierry Burkar. – Unbridled use of force again became a way to resolve conflicts for many”.

That France, which has the second largest army in Europe, is not ready for war is also noted by the vice president of the parliamentary commission on defense, deputy Jean-Louis Thieriot. According to him, even the presence of nuclear weapons in the country does not change the situation.

According to the military, the main problems of the French army are the lack of military equipment and ammunition, planes and ships. The reason is that previously high-intensity conflicts involving all of the above on the territory of Europe were considered unlikely.
