Liz Truss appointed the new foreign minister of Great Britain

He became the former Minister of Education.

Prime Minister of Velika Britain's Liz Truss appointed James Cleverley as foreign minister. This is reported by Reuters.

Cleverley has held the position of education minister since July, when Boris Johnson announced that he was resigning and appointed an interim government.

James Cleverley, 53, was first elected as a member of Parliament in the English city of Braintree in 2015.

He also worked in the Foreign Office as a junior minister, often reporting to Parliament on Britain's support for Ukraine after the Russian invasion.

Like Truss, Cleverley remained loyal to Boris Johnson and was one of the first to back Liz Truss's campaign during the prime ministerial race.

In 2019, when Prime Minister Theresa May resigned, Cleverley ran for the post, however, he was the first to drop out of the race.
