The actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine were recognized by the Lithuanian Seimas as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
The Seimas of Lithuania has recognized Russia as a terrorist state and one that commits genocide against the Ukrainian people, reports Delfi. The resolution was supported by 128 votes in favor.
In the resolution, the Seimas stated that the Russian armed forces and their mercenaries are committing mass war crimes in Ukraine, especially in Bucha, Irpen, Borodyanka, Gostomel and Mariupol. The document says that by its actions the Russian Federation wants to destroy the Ukrainian nation in whole or in part, to break the spirit by killing whole families with children, kidnapping, torture, rape, bullying of the killed and tortured.
“The Sejm recognizes the genocide of the Ukrainian people as a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine by the armed forces of the Russian Federation and its political and military leadership, which began February 24, 2022, “the resolution reads.
The resolution emphasizes that all those responsible must be brought to justice. At the same time, it was stated that the international community should establish a Special International Criminal Tribunal to investigate and assess Russia's aggression against sovereign Ukraine. At the same time, the Lithuanian Seimas called for the tribunal to have the power to issue arrest warrants and not to limit the immunity of the state, heads of state and government and civil servants.
“The Russian Federation, whose military forces consciously and systematically select civilian targets for bombing, is a state that supports and commits terrorism,” the resolution said.

According to the General Staff, Slobozhanshchyna remains one of the priority areas, where the occupiers are focusing on air reinforcements . And in the Izyum direction, the enemy was replenishing ammunition, fuel and logistics.
