Latvia has not missed more than 150 trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates since yesterday

By April 16, all trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates must leave the EU.

For the period from April 9 to the morning of April 10 Border guards did not allow 152 trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates into Latvia, Interfax reports. Carriers from Russia and Belarus are prohibited from crossing the EU border due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Yes, the European Union has banned the import and transit of new goods by road from Russia and Belarus to the EU since 9 April. At the same time, all trucks from both countries must leave the territory of the European Union by April 16.

It will be recalled that this week the European Union finally approved n package of sanctions against Russia because of the war against Ukraine. Sanctions include a transport blockade.
