US President Joe Biden has appointed Karin Jean-Pierre as White House spokesman.
White House Spokeswoman Jen Psaki < leaves his post on May 13. In her place, US President Joe Biden has appointed his longtime adviser, Karin Jean-Pierre. This was announced by the White House press service.
“Today, Biden announced that Karin Jean-Pierre has been appointed Assistant to the President and White House spokeswoman,” the press release reads.
Carin Jean-Pierre is now the Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Assistant to the President. Karin has been a longtime adviser to President Biden, leading in communications and political affairs since Biden was vice president under Barack Obama.
Jen Psaki has been a White House spokeswoman since November 2020.
“Jen Psaki has set the standard for returning decency, respect and decency to the White House briefing room. I want to thank Jen for raising the bar, communicating directly and truthfully with the American people, and maintaining a sense of humor. I thank Jen for her service to the country and wish her all the best as she moves forward, ”the White House quoted Biden as saying about Jen Psaki.
