Japan has expanded sanctions against Russia , including 25 Russians and 18 companies, according to the country's foreign ministry. New sanctions against Russia were imposed due to an unmotivated attack on Ukraine.
The list includes the head of Vnesheconombank (VEB) Igor Shuvalov , co-owner of Russia Bank Nikolai Shamalov and relatives of influential Russians close to Putin.
- Andrei Patrushev – co-owner of the Marine Arctic Exploration Expedition Company (engaged in oil and gas exploration), son of the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev ;
- Vladimir Kiriyenko – General Director of VK Group, son of the First Deputy of the AP of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko ;
- Tatiana Navka (wife of Kremlin speaker Dmitry Peskov ) and his children Nikolai and Elizabeth ;
- Sergei Ivanov – President of Alrosa JSC (a group of diamond mining companies), son of the Russian President's Special Representative for Environmental Protection Sergei Ivanov Sr .;
- Igor Shuvalov with his family;
- Alexei Mordashov – businessman, the main owner of Severstal;
- Nikolai Shamalov , co-owner of Russia Bank, and his son Kirill, an entrepreneur and possible husband of one of Vladimir Putin 's daughters;
- Ivan Sechin , the son of Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin , works for a company headed by his father;
- Alexander , Sergei and Stanislav Chemezov – children of the head of “Rostech” Sergei Chemezov , are engaged in entrepreneurship in the insurance and pharmaceutical sectors;
- Ekaterina (Chemezov's wife) and Anastasia (his adopted daughter) Ignatov ;
- Pavel , Lilia , Karina and Boris Rottenberg are relatives of the oligarchic brothers close to Putin;
- Galina and Maya Tokareva are the wife and daughter of Transneft head Nikolai Tokarev .
The list also includes 81 companies, including several shipbuilding companies. In addition, Japan is banning the export of luxury goods to Russia.
