Ukraine is preparing a regulatory framework for solving the issue of multiple citizenship, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yugenii Yenin said in an interview with “Ukrinform”. service together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The regulatory framework should take into account both the risks that exist in war conditions and the prospects of returning to Ukraine the diaspora from other countries of the world.
“We proceed from a clear ensuring a balance between the security interests of our state, especially in the conditions of full-scale aggression by the Russian Federation, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the need to attract the potential possessed by the Ukrainian community abroad in the countries of the European Union, in Canada, in the United States of America,” he explained he.
According to him, Volodymyr Zelenskyiprioritises importance of the implementation of this initiative.

Multiple citizenship is an old idea of Zelenskyi.
