On August 19, around six o'clock in the morning, the Russian occupiers once again shelled civilian objects in the city of Kharkiv. As a result of rocket strikes, a fire started in one of the city's districts. One person was injured. This was announced by the mayor of the city Ihor Terekhov.

“At 05:44 morning shelling of Kharkov. The city's Kyiv, Osnov'yansky and Nemyshlyansky districts are under attack. In one case, we hit a residential building, previously one person was injured. There is also a flight over the infrastructure object. There is a fire,” the official wrote in Telegram.

In addition, Terekhov noted that today is a day of mourning in Kharkiv in honor of all residents of the city who died during the war. In particular, the victims of yesterday's shelling by the Russian invaders, as a result of which 17 people lost their lives.

“The evening of August 17 and the morning of August 18 became one of the most difficult for Kharkiv since the beginning of the war. People died, many were injured, including children. I think it would be correct today to remember all those whose lives were taken by the war, all those who died within the walls of their homes, on the streets of their hometown, on the battlefield,” Terekhov added.
