Attempts by the Russian army to conduct offensive operations in the southern direction are offset by Ukrainian defenders.

As a result of fierce fighting in the Kherson region, Ukrainian defenders pushed the enemy east to the Chornobayivka area . The Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated a number of settlements in the region, according to the press service of the Operational Command “South”.

The Russian occupiers are constantly trying to reach the administrative borders of the Kherson region, and on the eve of their planned fake referendum at the end of April, they are trying to achieve this goal. However, the enemy's offensive actions do not have significant results.

Attempts to storm in the direction of Alexandrovka and Tavriya were successfully repulsed by Ukrainian troops. Attempts to seize Nikolaevka, also remained only attempts.

“Our units have regained control over 8 settlements in the Kherson region from the standpoint of observation posts.” – it is said in the operational report of the command “South”. “Accumulation of manpower and equipment in the area of ​​Kiselyovka for further attack on Posad-Pokrovske was hit by fire by our units. Having suffered significant losses, the enemy retreated towards Chornobaivka.”

As a result of the battle, the enemy suffered losses in manpower and equipment. In total, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 13 units of equipment, namely 2 tanks, a system of rocket-propelled grenades, 6 units of armored and engineering equipment, 4 UAV reconnaissance and 74 personnel.

We will remind, in the Kherson region ZSU destroyed a command post of enemy 49th army. Among the dead was the commander of the 49th All-Military Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yakov Rezantsev.
