DBR investigators documented crimes committed in Irpen by a Russian enemy.
Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation documented Russian crimes occupiers in Irpen, Kyiv region. After that, the head of the DBR, Oleksiy Sukhachov, said that 13 burials had been found in the city.
“No crime goes unpunished. Today, no one in the world, except the perpetrators of the tragedy, doubts that the cannibalistic acts in Irpen, Bucha and other cities of Ukraine were committed by the Russian military. In particular, State Bureau investigators in the Kyiv region inspected about 700 hectares of the city. It is more than 10 thousand houses and buildings. Most of them are residential areas where there were few infrastructure facilities. There are only schools, hospitals, kindergartens.
Investigators have found irrefutable evidence of crimes against humanity committed by the Russian enemy in Irpen. In particular, it is the use of munitions prohibited by the Geneva Convention, unjustified cruelty, mass extermination of the population.
Investigators also found a large number of enemy weapons and ammunition, military ammunition, documents and other signs of affiliation.
Among other things, law enforcement officers also found 13 burials of citizens. Investigators documented the use in residential areas against civilians of:
- antipersonnel mines, tank shells and MLRS Hail of incendiary action;
- Iskander-M aeroballistic missile;
- artillery shrapnel shells equipped with arrow-shaped striking elements and other prohibited weapons.
After Irpen, DBR investigators have already left for Sumy region, where they will continue to document evidence of crimes committed by the enemy.
“Crimes against humanity have no statute of limitations. I am convinced that Ukrainian law enforcement agencies and international criminal bodies will not allow Russia to avoid responsibility for war crimes in Ukraine.
