The President of Ukraine added that the issue of negotiations with Putin is becoming more complicated every day.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said he was ready to talks with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. Zelensky is ready to talk to Putin, but without his mediators and on the terms of dialogue, not ultimatums. The President of Ukraine stated this in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai 1.
“I am personally ready to talk to Putin. But only with him. Without his intermediaries any. And on the terms of dialogue, not on the terms of ultimatums, “Zelensky said.
In addition, the President of Ukraine added that the issue of negotiations with Putin is becoming more complicated every day.
“Because every day (Russia – ed.) Occupies small, I would say, towns where they live or lived, unfortunately, we state that people lived. Because many of them have left their homes. And many people were killed. When we deoccupy these places, we see traces of bullying, shootings and destruction of infrastructure by the Russian military. And this is why the difficulties regarding the possibilities of negotiations are becoming more difficult, “the President explained.
Zelensky also noted that Ukrainian society is not positive about the talks between the President of Ukraine and the Kremlin leader.
Asked what kind of peace Ukraine wants, the president said that Russia should respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, traditions and people, as well as language and people, society and independence.
“All it violated the Russian Federation. This needs to be restored. What does it mean? Withdraw your troops. I'm not saying we need to get everything back – but it's not a value for us. Values are living people… Please go beyond the borders of our state, “Zelensky said.
