The mayor called on Ukrainians to stock up on the necessary electrical appliances, stoves and firewood.
This year, more than ever, the citizens of Ukraine take care of your own comfort and safety during the 2022-2023 heating season. And it is better to start dealing with this issue already in the summer. Due to Russian military aggression, Ukrainians should prepare for a difficult winter, the Cabinet of Ministers warned. The local government is not left out either. Mayor Andriy Sadovy published a video where he told how the preparations for the heating season are going in Lviv and gave some tips on how every resident of the city can prepare for the cold weather.
In Lviv, as a rule, there have never been problems with the heating season, but this year may be an exception. Although all the necessary preparatory measures have been taken in the city, unforeseen situations may occur due to Russian military aggression. Therefore, Ukrainians should take certain measures to be as prepared as possible for any situations.

First of all, citizens, and this applies to residents of all regions of Ukraine, should stock up on important electrical appliances, in particular, electric stoves, kettles, kettles, heaters, etc. Since the voltage in the electrical network can be much higher than usual, it is worth checking the wiring, replacing the sockets and buying fuses in advance.

Secondly, if possible, it is worth buying “burzuyki” stoves and firewood. In the absence of gas and electricity, they will help to warm up and cook food.
You should also stock up on battery-powered lanterns and lamps. Dry alcohol, candles and matches should not be neglected either. Again, this will allow you to light up your premises and at least get some boiling water. Owners of apartments with wooden windows should seal the window frames in advance so that there are no drafts.
We remind you that the start of the heating season in Ukraine this year is planned to start after October 15 taking into account weather conditions.
