At the same time, 54 vessels with 1.04 million tons were sent to Asian countries, 32 vessels with 0.85 million tons to Europe, 16 vessels with 0.47 million tons of agricultural products to Africa. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
At the same time, the ministry clarified the data regarding Africa, in particular, 8 vessels (192 thousand tons of grain) were sent to Egypt, Sudan – 3 vessels (115 thousand tons) , Kenya – 1 vessel (50 thousand tons), Algeria – 1 vessel (44 thousand tons), Somalia – 1 vessel (29 thousand tons), Djibouti – 1 vessel (23 thousand tons) and Libya – 1 vessel (16.5 thousand tons).
“Also, within the framework of aid to the population of Africa, which, according to the United Nations, is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster, 2 vessels chartered directly by the UN World Food Program (WFP) have already been dispatched. On board they are more than 60,000 tons of wheat for the people of Yemen and of Ethiopia,” the message says.
It is noted that thanks to partners from the UN, another 190,000 tons of grain have already been purchased for further export to African countries.
“In general, as part of the work of KPN, 280,000 tons of agricultural products will be exported from the ports of Ukraine in the near future to fight hunger. The nearest vessel chartered by KPN is the bulker KARIA ANGEL, which is currently undergoing an inspection in Istanbul. After the inspection, it will be placed for loading on 30 thousand tons of wheat in the port of Chornomorsk, the ministry reports.
The ministry believes that the Russian authorities are using the threat of famine in poor countries for their own purposes. There is no real intention to solve the problem.
< p>“We regard any statements by the top political leadership of Russia aimed at restricting the export of Ukrainian food as the use of the famine tragedy for political purposes and another manifestation of cynicism, lies and the barbaric nature of modern Russia,” the MIU emphasized.

A day earlier, Russian President Volodymyr Putin, during his speech at the WEF, accused the European Union of deception, related to Ukrainian grain, which was exported under an export agreement. Putin also stated that the export of grain from Ukrainian ports should be limited. He promised to discuss this issue with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
