General Motors is finally leaving the Russian market

American General Concern General Motors (GM) finally < strong> leaves the Russian market . Dealers were told that there would be no supply of new cars due to US sanctions. In addition, all employees of the Russian mission will be fired. This will be the first car concern to leave Russia completely after the start of Russia's war against Ukraine. This was reported by the Russian media. After the annexation of the Crimean peninsula by Russia, GM stopped producing cars in Russia and supplied only expensive Chevrolet and Cadillac models. On March 11, these cars were banned from exporting to Russia.

The concern “paused” its activity in Russia and was waiting for clarification from the US regulator. Following the clarifications, the company announced its complete withdrawal from the Russian market. In 2015, such costs were partially reimbursed to sellers.
