Gas station networks were allowed to raise the cost of gasoline, but were obliged to reduce the cost of diesel fuel

The price of “ordinary” gasoline for its sale through the gas station network should not exceed UAH 39.86/liter.

The Ministry of Economy has published a new marginal average cost of gasoline and diesel fuel, which is used to calculate the sale price of fuel at gas stations as of mid-May.

Compared to the beginning of the month, the price of gasoline increased by UAH 2.17, diesel – decreased by 32 kopecks.

Taking into account the marginal trade margins, the maximum price for “ordinary” gasoline for its sale through the gas station network should not exceed UAH 39.86/liter, for “ordinary” diesel – UAH 42.31/liter.

At the same time, premium fuel brands can be sold with a 5% surcharge: A-95 gasoline – UAH 41.85/l, diesel – for UAH 44.42/l

It will be recalled that the government regulates retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel. The Cabinet of Ministers decree introduced a maximum retail markup of 6.5 hryvnias for gasoline and 7 hryvnias for diesel fuel.

Earlier it was reported that emerged on the market, the Cabinet, in addition to raising the marginal level of trade margin, allowed gas stations without restrictions to set the price of “branded premium” fuel, provided that they also sell fuel at prices regulated by the state .
