Mykola Povoroznyk explained who is given priority in fuel supply.
Today in Kyiv the priority for fuel supply is given to transport , who serves the needs of the army, said in an interview with ZN.UA Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk , with whom Alla Eremenko spoke. At the same time, he noted that electric vehicles – trams, trolleybuses, electric trains – started running in the capital.
“We are forced to live in new conditions now. As for fuel, priority is given to transport that serves the needs of the army and law enforcement agencies. We must understand that due to the change of priority, not all gas stations may have fuel for other vehicles, just as not all stores may be open, there may not be enough jobs today. After all, today we live in completely different realities, “Povoroznyk said.
He noted that when there were only two bridges across the Dnieper in Kyiv, there were traffic problems in the city. However, now, as noted by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, public transport can be reached almost everywhere.
“First of all, we are trying to use electric vehicles. The electric train works. Here you choose – to stand for hours in traffic jams or use the subway, tram or trolleybus. Save time and fuel clearly. Today we are resuming the work of public transport without damaging the city's defense capabilities, “Povoroznyk added.
According to him, the city is currently bearing the costs of transport. However, with more citizens returning to Kyiv, the question of changing this position may arise.
“I am not ready to announce any deadlines. Such a decision has not been made. We will get out of the situation, “Povoroznyk said, answering questions about how soon we can expect changes in this position.
