The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports that the Ukrainian military who were wounded or taken prisoner by the occupiers will receive 100,000 hryvnias each. This was reported by the press service of the department, citing the decision of the Cabinet.
The decision to amend the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of February 28, 2022 №168 “The issue of certain payments to servicemen, privates and officers, police and their families during martial law” was made yesterday, April 1.
Additional remuneration in the amount of 100 thousand hryvnias will be received by military men who:
- in connection with the injury related to the protection of the Motherland, are in inpatient treatment in health care facilities, including the time of moving from one hospital to another, or are on leave for treatment after a serious injury at the conclusion of the military medical commission;
- persons taken prisoner or taken hostage, as well as interned in neutral states or missing;
- persons who died or died as a result of injuries or wounds – for the entire month in which the person died.
The Ministry of Defense notes that the document will also regulate the procedure for the distribution of one-time benefits in the event of death and determine the full range of persons entitled to one-time financial assistance.
