EU Council of Ministers approves € 500 million tranche of military aid to Kyiv

The European Peace Fund, where the tranche will come from, is not included in the EU budget, but is formed by contributions from member states and is intended to finance EU security operations.

During the last meeting, the Council of Ministers of the European Union approved the allocation another tranche of aid to Ukraine worth € 500 million. Their purpose is to purchase military equipment and ensure the right to self-defense, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said during a press conference following the meeting. Ukrinform reports.
