“As of March 24, the amount of damage caused to Ukraine's infrastructure during the war has already reached $ 63 billion or 1.8 trillion hryvnias. Compared to the data published on March 17, taking into account the new, more accurate data on damage (as a result of which some items of losses were revised downwards), net growth amounted to $ 3.5 billion, “- said in a statement.
In total, since the beginning of Russia's military aggression on February 24, at least 4,431 houses, 92 factories, 378 educational institutions, 138 health care facilities, 8 civilian airports and 10 military airfields, 7 thermal power plants have been damaged, destroyed or seized in Ukraine. / HPP like that.
“Based on the World Bank's experience in analyzing losses in Syria and Iraq, as well as the recommendations of the leading Ukrainian investment company Dragon Capital, we have improved the methodology for estimating losses from housing destruction,” said the expert.

In addition, the project focuses on assessing the loss of Ukraine's physical infrastructure as a result of the war:
- destruction of residential houses, communal, road, railway infrastructure;
- destruction of educational and medical institutions;
- estimating the financial value of these losses
Currently, the project does not assess the total loss of the economy, including not only direct infrastructure losses, but also numerous “side” losses that the economy suffered as a result of the war:
- closing a large number of companies;
- the loss of hundreds of thousands of people's homes and jobs;
- cessation of any investments;
- reduction of consumer demand of citizens, etc.
We will remind, for the first three weeks of war Ukraine suffered losses for the sum of 565 billion dollars , declared recently in the government. The UN International Court of Justice in The Hague has already established that Russia is committing open aggression against Ukraine .
About 350 billion euros of Russian assets have already been frozen in different countries. And the amount of blocked funds continues to grow. At the same time, many understand that these funds are reserved for Ukraine and are necessary for the reconstruction of our country, and will also be part of the Marshall Plan. Nikolai Gavris, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Director of Positive Law Firm (Kharkov) writes about this in the article “What after the victory? Marshall's new plan for Ukraine. “
