China will be with Russia until the end, but the world should already thank Ukraine – the expert

A professor at Harvard University explained how Beijing is helping Moscow in the war against Ukraine.

Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin built though not declared but more active than any of those created by the United States.

This was said during a discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos, said Graham Allison, a professor at the John F. Kennedy School of Management at Harvard University. He recalled that in February, in the midst of the Beijing Olympics, the leaders of China and Russia announced “boundless friendship” .

“The Sino-Russian alliance is more operational than, for example, the American alliance with India. That means more support. Will Xi Jinping support Putin to the end? Undoubtedly, “Allison said.

He noted that Russia's support for China in the war against Ukraine is expressed in the exchange of intelligence, as well as in the provision of cyberwarfare. In addition, Beijing is constantly repeating Russian propaganda about the causes of Russia's war against Ukraine. However, according to Allison, China is also constantly analyzing all military aspects of this war.

The expert noted that Ukraine “surprised the world” with its resilience, and Russia, on the contrary, with its incompetence. According to Allison, the situation on the battlefield may convince Beijing that “now is not the best time to start a war against Taiwan.” See the special topic: A quarrel broke out in Davos: will Russia accept defeat in the war against Ukraine?
