EU sanctions banning the sale of luxury goods worth more than € 300 to Russia require the French company Chanel to impose restrictions on transactions with “certain individuals and legal entities.” However, the company has come up with its own way of enforcing the restrictions.
In particular, in the brand's stores abroad, Russians are required to undertake not to import goods home and not to wear them in Russia. This was reported by the Russian media.
At the same time, the company said that they were working to “improve the procedure” and apologized for the misunderstanding and inconvenience of Russian buyers.
