Former Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson is expected to re-enter the race for the leadership of the Conservative Party. That is, he will be able to return to his post after the resignation of Liz Truss announced on Thursday, October 20. This is reported by The Times with reference to its own sources.
The newspaper found out that Johnson considers his participation a matter of national interest. Currently, he is checking his friends' reviews about himself and believes that he will be able to win the favor of the party.
As The Times notes, some conservatives are already suggesting that Johnson should be replaced by Truss.
The political editor of the newspaper, Stephen Swinford, also wrote about this on Twitter.
“I was told that Boris Johnson is expected to take part in the race for the leadership of the Conservatives. He is investigating the information beforehand, but they say he believes it is a matter of national interest,” he said.
