The United States has decided to withdraw its warships from the Black Sea before the war in Ukraine, said the commander in chief of US troops in Europe, General Todd Walters.
President Joe Biden's administration has made a political decision not to allow US warships into the Black Sea until Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The statement that the American ships left the Ukrainian waters on the eve of the invasion was made by the Commander-in-Chief of the American troops in Europe, General of the Air Force Ted Walters, writes Reuters.
Although the United States offered Ukraine weapons and intelligence assistance, Biden tried to keep his country from a direct military confrontation with Moscow. This also included a decision to recall US military instructors from Ukraine. Walters, however, added that US warplanes are still flying over the Black Sea.

Yesterday we reported that, according to the Pentagon, Russian troops are not retreating, but redeploying. In particular, some of the troops deployed in Chernihiv and Sumy went to Belarus.
At the same time, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexei Danilov noted that a certain part of the units that the Russian military leadership is withdrawing from Kyiv and Chernihiv regions will be redeployed to Kharkiv and Donetsk.
