US President Joe Biden on Saturday congratulated the far-right leader Giorgia Meloni with the appointment to the post of Prime Minister of Italy, whom he called “a vitally important ally and close partner of NATO”.
“As the leader of the G7, I count on Ukraine's continued support , holding Russia accountable for its aggression, ensuring respect for human rights and democratic values, and ensuring sustainable economic growth,” Biden said in a statement, AFP reports.
