Austria may become the fourth European country to launch its own investigation in Ukraine, after Germany, Poland and Lithuania.
Austria is studying the legal aspects of national and international law in order to join the investigation of war crimes in Ukraine.
Representatives of the local Ministry of Justice said they were considering in detail the legal basis for the procedure. The agency stressed that war crimes committed by Russian soldiers in Ukraine need to be investigated immediately. This was reported by the publication Euractiv .
