As of June 9, marijuana is allowed to be grown and stored in Thailand.

Some Thai marijuana enthusiasts celebrated the event on Thursday morning by buying marijuana at a Highland cafe in Bangkok.

Now Thais have the right to grow hemp and smoke in at home. However, only if it is done for medical purposes.

“As for the government, its task is to promote only medical use. But it is clear that we have gone too far and finally legalized this use. “The government understands that this has more pros than cons,” the Associated Press told Rattapon. Sanrak is a longtime marijuana legalization activist.

In many parts of the world, such as the United States, Canada, South Africa, Spain, and the Netherlands, laws allow cannabis to be used in private (recreational) or for medical purposes. In the Czech Republic, there is only one legal way to buy marijuana – at a pharmacy with a doctor's prescription. It is possible that this example will soon be followed by Germany.

So far in Ukraine, cannabis is still considered a drug. St. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “Illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation or shipment of drugs for sale” – is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with confiscation of property.
