The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the MoD reports that military arrests began in Moscow, as a result of which traffic in the center was blocked. The press service of the Ministry of Education and Culture informs about this on its Telegram channel.
There they say that units of the Dzerzhynsky operational division – the “elite” of the Russian Guard – entered the city.
“They are moving towards the center together with police units. It is known about numerous arrests, detentions and blockades of the military. Instead, all military units around the perimeter of Moscow have been put on high alert,” intelligence reports.

It is currently unclear what caused such a situation in the center of the Russian capital. The first and most logical thing that comes to mind is the collapse of the occupation forces on the Ukrainian front. Russia started rapidly losing lands that it had only recently annexed, which probably led to a worsening of the situation among the military elite there.
This thesis is confirmed by the statements of Western analysts who believe that Vladimir Putin has already found a scapegoat for his failure at the front – he became Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, who is likely to be fired in the near future. p>
At the same time, there was an incident with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, who accused the commander of the Central Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, of the fact that Russia had lost the strategically important Liman. “Putin's cook” Yevgeny Prigozhin played along with him in this, describing Russian military leaders as “pieces of garbage”. But in response to statements that likely undermined the remnants of the Russian president's authority, Putin granted Kadyrov the rank of general.
