David Arahamia explained what “strengthened neutrality” means.
If a peace treaty is signed with Russia, according to which Ukraine will have a neutral status, we will be able to continue to receive weapons from allies, as we receive now or before a full-scale invasion, said deputy head of the “Servant of the People” faction and member of the Ukrainian delegation to Russia David Arahamiya. in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. According to him, the concept of “strengthened neutrality” is very close.
There is such a concept of “strengthened neutrality”, that is, you need to rely on your own army or have additional guarantees. That is, as in Switzerland, in Israel, a reserve army that can mobilize in large numbers and give the necessary rebuff in the event of aggression. It is very important to emphasize that we do not follow such a model that we have neutrality, and therefore we have relaxed, we do not need an army, let our guarantors take care of us. No, as they say, “trust in God, and do not be bad.” Therefore, the concept of “strengthened neutrality” is very close to us, “Arahamiya said.
According to the journalist, whether this means that we will continue to receive technical, military assistance, weapons, etc. in the process of strengthening our army, Arahamiya said: “Yes, of course.”
