Five battalion tactical groups have been sent from military bases in South Ossetia and Abkhazia to strengthen the Russian army.
Russia continues to conduct full-scale armed aggression and has transferred about 2,000 soldiers to Ukraine, the APU General Staff said in a morning report for March 30.
“Units of the 4th (Tskhinvali district, South Ossetia) and 7th (Abkhazia) military bases of the Southern Military District were transferred from the occupied territories of Georgia to the territory of Ukraine in order to staff the Russian Armed Forces,” the statement said.
It is noted that three BTGs with a total number of up to 1,200 Russian and Ossetian servicemen were formed and sent to Ukraine from the 4th military base. Two units of the 7th military base have been formed, which is about 800 people.
The General Staff added that in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, the enemy continues to commit illegal acts against the local population.
“In the settlement of Velikaya Belozerka, units of the Russian occupiers were dispersed and placed equipment between residential buildings. In Melitopol, the invaders equipped checkpoints on the outskirts of the city and strengthened the access regime, ”the summary reads.
The occupiers continue to loot the homes and apartments of local residents, detain pro-Ukrainian activists and officials in Ukraine.
“Another wave of mobilization is planned for April 1 in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region. It is possible that such efforts will be made in the recently occupied territories of the region, “the General Staff said.
According to the available information of the General Staff, the armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to struggle with the problem of staffing units.
“Soldiers of the 26th Panzer Regiment of the 47th Panzer Division, who signed contracts after participating in the war with Ukraine, began submitting reports requesting to terminate the contract and send them to a permanent location for further service,” the statement said.
It is noted that over the past day, the United Forces of Ukraine repulsed four attacks by the Russian occupiers in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The Ukrainian military destroyed seven tanks, seven armored units, two units of vehicles and anti-tank weapons of the occupiers. The enemy also suffered casualties.
