Another case of monkeypox was registered in Ukraine

None of the patients traveled abroad.

On the territory of Ukraine on Thursday, September 22, recorded the third case of monkey pox, reported the chief sanitary doctor Ihor Kuzin on the air of the telethon. The previous case of the disease was discovered three days ago.

“Actually, we have registered the third case of monkeypox in Ukraine. Today was the third case,” he said.

According to Kuzin, all three patients suffer from the disease in a mild form. These are men between the ages of 25 and 35.

“Have not been abroad and, according to preliminary data, had no contact with patients . Also, there is currently no confirmation that these cases are related to each other,” the chief health doctor clarified.

At the same time, Kuzin assured that the risk of spreading monkeypox among a larger number of Ukrainians is currently low.

As before, the Ministry of Health does not name the regions in which cases of infection have been registered.
