This night in Kyiv against the background of air alarm sounded explosion, it was heard in several areas of the city, and most – in Obolonsky. This was reported by the press service of the SES, noting that the incident was not related to the war.
“On May 16, at 01:01, the operational coordination center of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv received a report of a fire at 4a Verbova Street in the Obolon district of the capital. Rescuers from the 25th State Fire and Rescue Unit were sent in. Upon arrival, it was established that a fire broke out in a Renault truck, spreading fire to a nearby DAF truck. Firefighters immediately began extinguishing the fire. At 01:19 the fire was localized and at 01:27 it was eliminated, “rescuers said.
The fire completely destroyed a Renault car, only the wheels and driver's cab of the DAF burned. Fortunately, no one was injured.
