Additional 10% import duties: Hetmantsev spoke about the plans

According to him, the issue of canceling the list of critical imports of services is still being discussed.

Chairman of the Profile Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Finance, tax and customs policy Danilo Hetmantsev believes that it is impossible to introduce additional import duties of 10% on non-critical imports. He told this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

“During the meeting, the Ministry of Economy even supported the NBU's proposal for a 10% duty on all goods except critical imports, but then this proposal was supported during the discussion by the Prime Minister. Therefore, we will not support the proposal of a 10% duty on non-critical imports, “said the chairman of the committee.

According to him, Ukraine is ready to abandon the list of critical imports.

” This currency restriction will be lifted. Currency settlements will be allowed for all goods, and the exchange rate will later become floating, “said Danylo Hetmantsev.

Earlier It was reported that the Council returned duties and VAT on imported goods and customs clearance of cars from July 1. Earlier, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that the abolition of VAT, duties and excise duties will be introduced on July 1 for all cars except those that go to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
