American actor Sean Penn has called on billionaires around the world to buy 12 fighters for Ukraine that are more technical than Russian military aircraft. He wrote about this on his Twitter page.
Penn is asking billionaires to spend $ 300 million and buy two squadrons of F-15 or F-16 fighters for Ukraine, which would create a significant advantage over Russian ones – Su and MiG.
He also called for $ 200 million worth of missile defense systems for Ukraine. All together it would be half a billion dollars.
Penn is confident that the Ukrainian pilots are ready to deal with the management of the new fighter in 3 weeks.
“One billionaire could end this war in Ukraine,” the actor said.
In his comments, he was reminded that the requirements of American law could be an obstacle to his plan – the export of large quantities of weapons must be approved by Congress.
We will remind, in 2021 Penn began shooting of a documentary film about the Russian-Ukrainian war which at that time covered only the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. At the end of February, he arrived in Ukraine to record the war as a documentary filmmaker.
