Ukrainians will be able to expel the invaders from their land after they receive the necessary weapons from the USA.
Currently, the situation on the Ukrainian front remains difficult and it is rather difficult to say whether any of the opponents is ready to significantly change it to their own advantage. But this may happen in the fall, when Ukraine will start receiving military aid from the United States as part of lend-lease. This opinion was expressed by expert Petro Chernyk on the air of the national news telethon.
He believes that at the moment the war is moving into a protracted stage, but the Ukrainians have already managed to do the almost impossible, stopping the Russians, who many times outnumbered them in terms of numbers and weapons.
“In my opinion, we, Ukrainians, are in the phase of consolidating success in deterring the “second army of the world” on our territory. The historical phenomenon is that in fact the 22nd army of the world, i.e. the Ukrainians, and in fact the entire consolidated nation that went to battle, almost stopped the biggest modern monster that exists in nature. This war is still far from over. In my opinion, everything is moving to the stage of a protracted war,” Chernyk said.
The expert added that a real turning point on the battlefield may begin after the Lend-Lease Agreement comes into force on the part of the US. Chernyk believes that the Western weapons, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine can receive this fall, will give Ukraine the opportunity to go on the counteroffensive. In particular, he emphasizes the importance of strengthening aviation at the expense of American F-15 and F-16 fighters.
