The play will be based on a play by Olga Matsyupa.
Chernivtsi Olga Kobylyanska Theater on 21, 22 and on May 28 he planned the premiere of the play “Carpathian Rage”, which will be based on the play by Olga Matsyupa. According to theater critic Oleg Vergelis, the production will be directed by a young director Dmytro Leonchyk, a student of Tamara Trunova.
The theater said that the idea for the play came to the author during her trip to the mountains and the ascent to Montenegro in August 2014. Then there was the Ilovaysk boiler in Donbass, and locals were horrified to tell the playwright that Ukrainian mafia businessmen were destroying forests.

< p>The official website of the theater notes that the new play “Carpathian Rage” “about the felling of the Carpathians, about the war …”, “about the heroes who defend our country from the enemy and about those who profit from the war. About the loss of control in the struggle between human and animal. On man's thirst for excessive anticipation of apocalyptic consequences. The actors of the play, in turn, say that the play and the upcoming play do not envisage any frontal political allusions, although Ukrainian viewers, knowing from the press about the deforestation of the Carpathian forests, can draw their own conclusions.
In my opinion, today, in times of great historical trials for Ukraine, the voice of modern Ukrainian drama should sound strong, convincing and powerful, – says ZN.UA director of the play “Carpathian Rage”, director and actor of the Chernivtsi Theater Dmitry Leonchik. – This play by Olga Matsyupa was created in 2015, long before the current events, when Medvedchuk, who is associated with the total deforestation of the Carpathian forests, was outlawed in Ukraine. And in this regard, the politician is currently undergoing a serious investigation by law enforcement agencies. Our play is not a political pamphlet or political drama, but an attempt to remind society by means of theater that the preservation of native land, Ukrainian nature, Carpathian forest, in particular, is equivalent to defending Ukraine itself, which our soldiers today courageously defend from the Russian aggressor. Our creative team really wants modern Ukrainian drama to organically take root on the legendary stage of the Chernivtsi Olga Kobylyanska Theater. And the fact that the Chernivtsi audience is very interested in the new Ukrainian drama convinced us all of the recent performance of Tamara Trunova's play “Bad Roads” based on the play by the leader of modern Ukrainian drama Natalia Vorozhbyt. It was a video version of a play by the Kyiv Drama and Comedy Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnieper at the Ivan Mykolaychuk Chernivtsi Cultural and Art Center. And further discussion of the play once again showed that the new Ukrainian drama not only emotionally confuses the hearts of Ukrainians, but also touches on vital issues, such as life and death, war and peace. “
The production will involve such actors : Andriy Toporivsky, Valentyn Bahulyak, Larysa Popenko, Maryana Tymchyshyn, Anna Malysh, Olga Kilchytska-Dudka, Nazariy Kavulych, Vadym Glaznev and other artists.
