The regional SBU announces a court decision to imprison a local DNR militant for up to 15 years in prison.
Ivano-Frankivsk City Court convicted in absentia a local resident who joined the so-called Donetsk People's Republic in 2014. According to the regional department The SBU, a native of Kalush, took part in the confrontation near Vuhlehirsk, was wounded there, and was treated in Donetsk in February-March 2015.
In addition to participating in hostilities against Ukraine, the militant spread Kremlin propaganda on YouTube. Convicted Fyodor Galetsky worked for the separatists as a radiotelephonist. He also recorded a video with Russian propagandists, the key theses of which contain Kremlin messages. In particular, it is said that there are no Russian troops in the Donetsk region. And against the separatists, the Ukrainian military is fighting “under the barrel of a machine gun” representatives of the “Right Sector”. Galetsky was found guilty of participating in a terrorist organization and facilitating its activities (part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code).
