“Here my daughter and granddaughter are under the rubble”
It will be recalled that on April 1, 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces drove the Russian occupiers out of the city. During the occupation, the invaders did not allow the opening of the “green corridor” and did not allow volunteers to help the population affected by the bombings. Journalists were able to communicate with its residents and see all the horrors brought here by the invaders.
The occupiers dropped air bombs on the city, people found themselves under the rubble in basements or their homes.
In the early days, local terrorists resisted the invasion. People with Molotov cocktails in their hands went against the tanks.
“Rashists got angry and started bombing areas en masse … with aircraft, hail, whatever,” the video states below.
Sitting near the house, an elderly woman watches as rescuers dismantle the rubble of the destroyed settlement:
“Here is my daughter and granddaughter,” she said. Now she is under the rubble, because she was hiding in the basement. – “Tomorrow will be 40 days (since the collapse of the house). The son-in-law was found, he is dead, barely identified …”
. The Russian military did not allow the burial of people or at least the removal of bodies for 10-15 days.
Note that as of April, at least 219,000 people lost their homes as a result of the occupation. We recently reported that temporary housing for pregnant women is being built in Lviv. Construction is planned to be completed by July.
