A gas leak is detected again at “North Stream-2”.

The spot on the surface of the Baltic Sea has increased in diameter to 30 meters.

The Coast Guard of Sweden on the morning of Monday, October 3 recorded an increase in gas leakage at one of the sections of the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline in the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the press service of the body.

It is noted that the larger gas release that occurred on the “North Stream-1” stopped on Sunday and is no longer visible on the surface of the water. That was the estimate, based on conversations with pipeline representatives.

Meanwhile, a smaller leak from Nord Stream 2 on the surface of the Baltic Sea is now about 30 meters in diameter. It increased compared to data from October 2.

Currently, the Coast Guard cannot explain why the fuel leak on one of the gas pipelines ended earlier than on the other. Sweden has issued new restrictions on shipping in the region.

Recall, on Saturday, October 1, it was reported about the suspension of gas output at Nord Stream-2.
