As a result of the morning shelling of Kharkiv on Monday, July 11, four people were killed and more than thirty people were injured from shells fired by the Russian military. As the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov reported, the shopping center and private houses came under fire.
“Consequences of today's shelling of Kharkiv with MLRS. Only civilian structures – a shopping center and houses of peaceful Kharkiv residents – came under the fire of the Russians. Several shells hit the yards of private houses. Garages and cars were also destroyed, several fires broke out,” Sinegubov wrote.
According to the latest information, after the Russian attack, 31 people were hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees of severity, among them two children – 4 and 16 years old. The condition of both children is moderate. Victims mostly have shrapnel injuries.
As Serhiy Bolvinov, deputy head of the National Police Department in the Kharkiv region, clarified in his turn, the number of dead has already increased to four.
“The two dead are a father and a 17-year-old son who were in a car during the shelling. Direct hit. They were going to get a certificate for a boy, for admission to a university. Almost nothing remained of the car and people,” Bolvinov wrote on Facebook.
He reported that a police officer was also among the wounded: he came under fire while driving to the forensic forensics center.
According to Bolvinov, the enemy fired at the Kyiv, Saltiv, and Osnovyan districts of Kharkiv . At the sites of shelling, law enforcement officers found and recovered fragments of Uragan rocket launchers.
On Monday morning, the Russian military shelled Kharkiv. As a result, three civilians died, another 31 people were hospitalized.
