The cargo was transferred by the Lithuanian Food for Ukraine Foundation.
The Lithuanian charity fund Food for Ukraine, amid the destruction of the capital's food bases by the occupiers , brought 28 trucks of necessary foodstuffs to Kyiv in support of the vulnerable. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the KSCA Marina Honda.
She clarified that from the first day of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the fund has been supplying products on its own initiative for vulnerable Kyivites and people in difficult life circumstances.
The head of the Food for Ukraine Foundation Nerius Udrenas noted that this humanitarian aid is the result of the work not only of business, but also of ordinary Lithuanian citizens.
“According to our data, more than half of Lithuanians have already contributed to help the Ukrainian people. The Food for Ukraine Foundation brings together business and people to work together to help Ukraine survive. We have already been able to assemble and deliver 560 tons of products worth more than 650,000 euros. We also asked our business partners to continue humanitarian aid and not to stop. Now we must show all our humanity and support to be close to Ukraine in difficult times, “said Nerius Udrenas.
