As the adviser to the mayor of Buchi Mykhailyna Skoryk-Shkarivska told journalists, all these people were killed by the Russian military at the end of February or throughout March. Among the dead were 14 men and one woman who was burned in the car. Eight men were found in Myrotskyi, they were tortured and shot. All the bodies have traces of torture, wounds to the head and chest.

“A woman was burned in a car on Yablunska Street, there is a skeleton of a man who died in a car. The bodies of three people were exhumed from one grave, one was recognized, he is from Buchi. One man from Buchi was also identified from another grave where 7 were exhumed. We suspect that these are the bodies of our people who were captured in Buchi, but tortured in Myrotskyi. Accordingly, we have to bury them,” says the advisor to the Buchan city mayor.
The city authorities are obliged to bury the bodies, since they have never been identified and their relatives have not been found. However, DNA samples were taken from all the remains, and if suddenly someone is looking for them, it will be possible to establish the relationship. If someone's identity is established, a corresponding table will be placed on the grave or, at the request of the relatives, they will be reburied.
