On May 28 and 29, the Operetta Theater will present a concert dedicated to Kyiv Day “With Ukraine in the Heart” (with the participation of theater soloists, choir artists, concert director: Maxim Dobrolyubov).
Starting from June 3, the Kyiv Academic Theater in Podil announces the performance of its performances. June 3 and 10 – the play “You can't divorce to kill” (directed by Polina Medvedeva). June 4 and 11 – “Soychine krylo” based on the work of Ivan Franko (director: Vitaliy Malakhov). June 5 and 12 – the play “The Observer” (director: Eugene Merzlyakov).

The Kyiv National Academic Young Theater begins its military-theatrical season in June. This evening – a monologue of actor Alexei Vertinsky “Blue Car” based on the play by Yaroslav Stelmakh (director Igor Slavinsky). In the future, the theater's repertoire will be supplemented by some other productions, in particular, “Sasha, take out the trash!” (director Tamara Trunova).
Currently, the Young Theater is simultaneously working on the children's fairy tale “Goat-dereza”, patriotic concert “Unconquered” and renewal of the play, which is a long-standing repertoire hit of the Young – “The Courtship at Goncharivka” by Grigory Kvitka-Osnovyanenko. The premiere of the classic Ukrainian comedy directed by Viktor Shulakov took place in August 1985. Since then, the show has been sold out about 700 times. Actor and director Anatoliy Petrov is working on updating the play. The updated production will be called “The Courtship at Goncharivka. Chamber version”. The play involves: Anna Rozstalna, Elena Uzlyuk, Anatoly Petrov, Yuri Potapenko, Orest Pasichnyk, Daria Grachova, Sergei Pashchenko, Maxim Zinevich, Ivan Potapov, Ilya Choporov, other actors of the theater.
“Our Young Theater resumes performances in early June,” says ZN.UA artistic director of the Young Theater, Honored Artist of Ukraine Andriy Bilous. – We decided to start with the oldest and most popular productions from our repertoire. On June 3, we will show “Blue Car”, a popular one-man show by Oleksiy Vertynsky. On June 4, viewers will be able to see an updated version of the legendary play “The Courtship at Goncharivka”. And on June 5, we will present our last pre-war premiere – “Lace-up Couple” based on the play by American playwright Edward Albee from debutant director Anna Pirozhenko (starring Orest Pasichnyk and Nicoletta Mochani).
We plan to play so far, only four times a week. At the same time we will continue the rehearsals of the children's fairy tale and the concert “Unconquered”. We intend to play some of our projects not only at the permanent address of Kyiv: 17 Prorizna Street, but also in military units and hospitals. We are very much looking forward to our regular spectators, fans of the Young Theater. ”
