Russia has been waging a bloody war against the Ukrainian people for three weeks.
An anonymous community of Ukrainian musicians has released the “Anthem of Real Russia” – a Russian anthem that consists of the sounds of the war waged in Ukraine by the Russian Federation. The authors of the video told Medusa about their work.
“For the fourth week in a row, our country is at war. All this time, Ukrainians are figuring out how to defeat Russian propaganda. They are looking for ideas that can open the eyes of the whole world – in particular, to the Russians – to what their country is doing, what their government is doing, what their soldiers are doing. During one of the discussions, we came up with an interpretation of the anthem of the Russian Federation with the real sounds of war, “they said.

It is also noted that all the authors of the video are Ukrainians, none of them is safe now, as Ukrainian cities continue to be bombed. Producer Roger Leao volunteered to help them. His music production 7Cs Songs & Sounds helped to compile an alternative anthem of the Russian Federation and place it on all music platforms.
All the sounds from which the anthem is composed are real, they were taken from hundreds of documentaries about the war in our country. So, there was a sound of shelling by “Hail” of Kharkov and Mariupol , a rocket strike on “Babi Yar”, shelling of civilians in Kherson and Sumy.
“The purpose of the project is not to tarnish the national symbol of the Russian Federation. It's about another. With the help of this interpretation, we show the whole world, including Russians, what the Russian army and the Russian government are doing with their country and their symbols. The sounds of explosions, missile strikes, tank volleys, air-raid sirens, gunfire, shouting and crying – this is how people all over the world now see and hear modern Russia, “the musicians said.
They also added that 350,000 people from different countries visited the project site in two days. They listen to the anthem and understand how this terrible war sounds.
